Laces to Bows Inc. is an innovative and unconventional organization dedicated to fostering the holistic development of young individuals aged 10-18, both girls and boys, in Washington DC. Our mission expands beyond the conventional by creatively addressing neglected topic that most organizations, non-profits and schools neglect. We promote and support creative expression of the unique experiences that youth encounter and foster ways to channel their energy toward a positive impact on themselves and their communities. We focus on multi-dimensional areas, ensuring we address topics affecting the mind, body, and spirit also serving as a crucial resource in the gun violence prevention field. In collaboration with agencies like The Office of Gun Violence and Prevention (OGVP) and The Department of Youth Rehabilitation (DYRS), we strive to make a lasting impact on our community.

Our mission is to educate and empower youth through seminars, workshops, and programs focused on education, personal health and safety, personal accountability, skill development, and positive self-esteem. While our roots are grounded in serving girls, we have expanded our commitment with the introduction of our extension program, "Bow-Ties," designed specifically for boys aged 10-18. Through mentorship and coaching, we provide the necessary framework to build a strong and steady foundation for a self-sufficient life. Laces To Bows Inc. is proud to be a positive and valuable resource, featured in Black Enterprise, The Washington Informer, and on Good Morning Washington. For our Mental Health focus, we are committed to reducing incidents of depression, combating suicide rates among teens, and nurturing positive self-esteem. In addition, our programs now extend beyond conventional boundaries to incorporate gun violence prevention strategies within our communities. Measurements of success will be evaluated through anonymous surveys, providing valuable participant feedback to ensure the ongoing relevance and effectiveness of our initiatives.
For our Financial Literacy focus, Laces To Bows Inc. is dedicated to providing comprehensive training and seminars on the fundamentals of fiscal management. Our curriculum includes essential topics such as banking basics, budgeting, credit management, and the significance of financial stability in achieving independent living. Success in our programs will be determined by assessments that showcase the participants' understanding and practical application of the covered topics.

A female leader with a special heart who is confident, capable and committed to serving our youth. Those are just a few characteristics about the Executive Director of Laces to Bows. Every day Justyn Iman dedicate’s her life to the art of mentoring others. The 28 year old Executive Director is a native of Washington, DC. At the tender age of 17, She took all of her trials and tribulations, believed in herself and created the blue print for Laces to Bows Inc. As a teenager, Justyn suffered enough challenging moments which included battling low self-esteem, abandonment and looking for love in all the wrong places. Instead of using hardship as a crutch, She used it as motivation to give back to the community.
